apt update
Refresh available package information from configured sources.
Overview
Downloads package information from all configured sources. This should typically be run before upgrading or installing packages.
Syntax
sudo apt updateCommon Options
--quietQuiet. Produces output suitable for logging, omitting progress indicators.
